Were you aware that eBooks and audiobooks can be “borrowed’ from your library? The Warren County Public Library has memberships with two downloadable services, Alliance Digital Media Library (ADML), and eRead Illinois. ADML has 1,632 downloadable audiobooks and 7,014 ebooks. eRead Illinois has 4,506 audiobooks and 26,198 ebooks. What does this mean? This means you can borrow a book, anytime, anywhere.
So, how to get started…
If you have a tablet, smartphone, iPad, or Kindle Fire, download the app. (Overdrive for ADML, Access 360 for eRead Illinois). Search for our library, Warren County Public Library District. Enter your library card number and PIN. (Call the library at 734-3166 if you don’t know your library number or PIN.) Then begin searching for a book to borrow. It’s that easy.
If you have a Kindle e-Reader, click on the Alliance Digital Media Library button on the right-hand side of this webpage. Click on “account.” Select our library from the dropdown menu, then enter your library card number and PIN. Now you are ready to search for books.
You will need one of our new library card numbers to use either service, so make sure your library number starts with a “D.” If it starts with a “P,” stop by the library with your current ID and we can issue you a new card number. If you are having any trouble, we encourage you to call or stop by the library with your device. We would love to help you get started.
